Environmental Social Responsibility

Noetic commits to improving environmental performance both as a business and as an advisor to government and the corporate sector. We therefore commit to continually reviewing and improving our business performance in an environmentally responsible manner through both corporate and individual initiatives.

Corporate Initiatives

As a business we undertake the following actions to ensure that we meet our commitment to the environment:

  • Carbon Offset Programs. When travelling we choose carbon offsets offered by airlines or other modes of transport to reduce our environmental impact. We advise clients that we are doing so and charge the cost back to them. If clients are unwilling to incur this additional cost, the company will pay for the offsets.
  • Responsible Purchasing Choices. Wherever possible, we will purchase ‘greenhouse-neutral’ goods certified under the ‘Greenhouse Friendly Program’.
  • Utilities Provision. We will regularly review utility contracts and opt for environmentally friendly programs to offset our environmental footprint.
  • Workplace Giving. We have an Australian Taxation Office endorsed voluntary workplace giving program to support eligible environmental charities.
  • Recycling. We will continue to utilise appropriate containers for sorting recyclable material within the company to include specifically paper and IT consumables.

Personal Initiatives

The company urges all members of the team to undertake the following small actions to contribute to our responsible approach to the environment.

  • Water Consumption. Make responsible choices about the purposes and amounts of water usage.
  • Our Daily Routine. Only consume energy when required. Remember to use the ‘standby’ and ‘energy saver’ functions on all electronic appliances whenever possible, and switch off computers, monitors, other office machines and lights when not in use.
  • Daily Work Routine. Edit documents electronically to alleviate unnecessary printing, always print double-sided in black and white, print in colour only when necessary, print PDF documents with 2-pages to a view and share transport to client meetings.
  • Recycling. Ensure all recyclable material is placed in appropriate containers provided by the company.
