Canberra, July 09

Noetic developed and facilitated a desktop exercise to raise awareness of the implications of a major submarine cable incident to the Australian communications sector and more broadly, other critical infrastructure sectors.  The project was completed for the Department of Broadband, Communication and the Digital Economy (DBCDE), on behalf of the Communications Sector Infrastructure Assurance Advisory Group (CSIAAG).  The desktop exercise provided an opportunity for cable owners, communication providers and users to come together to collectively discuss the issues arising from submarine cable outages and to better understand the impacts of a severe outage.
