Noetic support to Project Thunderstorm Renewed

Noetic has again been engaged by the Office of the Secretary of Defense to provide planning and evaluation support to Project Thunderstorm. Project Thunderstorm is the Department of Defense’s premier multi-intelligence technology demonstration which assesses emerging intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) technology as a way to address operationally relevant challenges.

Noetic holds final NeXTech War-game

Noetic recently held the fourth and final war-game of the NeXTech project. The war-game was held in Annapolis from the 27-28th March in partnership with the U.S. Naval Academy and sponsored by the Rapid Reaction Technology Office within the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Noetic welcomes new staff to the D.C. office

Noetic’s D.C. office welcomes its newest member of the team, Mrs. Amrita Jhanjee, who will be supporting the team as the Office Administrator. Amrita comes to Noetic having worked for several years at the Australian Embassy in Washington D.C. and for the Department of Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs in Tasmania, Australia. Amrita also has experience working with American Express and Thomas Cook in New Delhi, India.

Lessons Learnt Training Course for NSW Government (Australia)

Noetic delivered its inaugural training course on Lessons Learnt in Sydney on 16 – 18 April 2013. The training was attended by a combination of Commonwealth Government, NSW Government and private sector representatives. The course provided participants with the knowledge to ensure that observations from major events are validated, lessons are extracted, and resulting actions and accountabilities are assigned so that the lessons are in fact learnt.

Technical and Commercial Due Diligence for the Lease of Major Port Assets (Aug 2012 to Apr 2013)

In mid-2012, the NSW government (Australia) announced its intention to lease two major NSW sea ports (Port Botany and Port Kembla) and associated intermodal facilities. Noetic worked with a consortium interested in bidding for the lease, which required comprehensive technical and commercial due diligence study, including detailed revenue and expenditure projections. The consortium comprised global investors with in excess of US$350 billion of capital under management and a global portfolio of infrastructure assets including ports and airports.
